performing tomorrow with one of my favorite songwriters, Advance Base. Owen Ashworth used to perform as Casiotone For The Painfully Alone, and his record A Shut In’s Prayer under the name Advance Base has been in my car since the first time we shared the stage in November 2013. Really looking forward to playing with him again.
this weekend i will be performing in beautiful Lake City, MI at Earthwork Harvest Gathering along with Gifts or Creatures, frontier ruckus, Seth Bernard & May Erlewine, and many more michigan treasures. check out the full shedule and info here: https://www.earthworkharvestgathering.com/

The reviews are starting to come in for Methodist GIrls, this one courtesy of Gold Flake Paint (UK)
“like nights spent pining for the past, there’s an indefinite beauty to the feelings it evokes and the beauty is always worth it.”
if you have a music blog and would like to review Methodist Girls I can send you a promotional copy. Send an email to dearnathank[@]gmail.com and we talk further. If you don’t, but know someone who does, feel free to send them my way, or vice versa. <3
“This album is an absolute night-walk. It’s precious, naked, honest, and unashamed- even when he sings of his own shame. This heart-to-heart is pure and direct, and constitutes as the perfect compatriot to fight the loneliness of a sleeping world. With songs like this, I could contend with a fully nocturnal sleeping schedule, and never feel too isolated.”
“One of things I love about Nathan is his ability to coin lyrics like Michigan miners once hauled copper out of the Upper Peninsula. I find my hands tied and I am blindfolded by simple and precious beauty."
